Has your pet crossed the line from “doggie breath” to “potty breath”?
February is Dental Health Month! This is a great time to bring your pet (cat or dog) in for a dental health exam with one of our veterinarians! Even when the teeth “look fine” or “don’t seem to bother him/her” there still can be dental disease present.
We offer dental x-rays, dental cleanings and dental surgery (extractions). We also have many dental health products to assist you with keeping your pet’s mouth healthy. If you have any questions about your pet’s mouth this is a great time to come and see us!

September 2011: For the cattle owners: now is the time to take samples of feed and have it analysed for protein, energy and minerals. Also consider nitrate testing if the feed was cut around or after the frost. Generally, nitrates only accumulate in cereals, but anything is possible. We have a hay probe available and can handle all the testing, analysis and ration balancing.
September 2011 -we are seeing the annual rush of parvovirus cases. It seems every year in August and September we see more cases of canine parvovirus. Usually this is in puppies and incompletely vaccinated dogs. The disease is characterized by depression, lethargy, salivation, and in later stages vomiting and diarrhea. Call to make an appointment if your pet exhibits these signs. Often these pets need in clinic treatment with intravenous fluids.
